Parent PLUS Loan

If your parents are going to receive your loan for you and you are an undergraduate student, check out PLUS Loans, which holds at 4.86%. "PLUS" means Parents Loan for Undergraduate Students. Parents must begin repayment of a PLUS loan within 60 days after the final loan disbursement.

PLUS borrowers can add 3.1 points the Treasury Bill for their interest rate. If you find you need additional money for school after checking out your Federal loan options, "Alternative" or credit-based loans may be the answer for you.
